We do things a bit differently and that's the way we like it!

Our Story

Cozy Kitchen is the oldest established restaurant in Stevens Point and we're still here for a reason!  We've been family owned for over 40 years and specialize in made to order, home cooked, DELICIOUS meals!

Co-Owners Terry Check and Lois Henke purchased Cozy Kitchen from their mother in 1982 and continue the traditions of whipping up secret family recipes, including many Polish delicacies such as Czarnia and Golumpki-Cabbage rolls.

Cozy Kitchen has the best burgers and pancakes in town - one of the many reason breakfast is served all day long.   Cozy Kitchen serves homemade soups and desserts, has amazing daily specials and brings the favorite chicken dumpling soup back every Wednesday.   And one thing you'll always find on our menu is the our much sought after Pierogis!

Stop in to eat and be treated like you're family!

What Our Customers are Saying About Cozy Kitchen

Shakleemar - Waupaca, WI
"I am from Chicago and was raised on ethnic food so it was great to find this restaurant off of the Green Circle Bike Trail. We biked into their courtyard and had a nice meal!"

Mary M. - Stevens Point, WI
"I reviewed this earlier, so this update is simply to restate how much I love the food and atmosphere at Cozy Kitchen. When I can take a "mini-vacation" from my job, this is where I head for a good meal, some chatting with waitstaff and owners (you don't HAVE to chat; they are otherwise inobtrusive), plus browsing through their excellent selection of current US magazines. All Cozy's items are home-made, and made well. Their baked chicken is the best in town. So is their bread pudding. Now that it's almost Lent, they'll have homemade paczki, little round filled doughnuts. So I am once again saying: Cozy is one of the best little restaurants in town."

Jack K. - Lemont, IL

"Missed Culver's off the interstate and ended up at this place.  Looked at the menu and my first thought was the prices are way too low.  Four of us had big breakfasts with coffee and the bill was under $34.  Cute old school waitress who kept the coffee cups filled.  Food was delicious and the homemade wheat bread was definitely worth the ride.  A special thanks to Yelp for helping us find this "gem."

Logan P. - Stevens Point, WI

"I have been to Cozy Kitchen a few times, and I normally get breakfast food and it's always good. Today I went for something different and got the fried chicken dinner. It was great! But the main reason I go is for the homemade bread. It is always good and fresh"

Karen M. - Wilmar, MN
"We are here tonight after checking Yelp reviews while passing through town. I had the meatloaf, and my fiancé had the fried cod. Both were great, as was the service, and the price was right.  We will definitely return the next time we are passing through. I'd love to give the breakfast menu a try."

Liane W. - Minneapolis, MN
"I was very satisfied with cozy kitchen! Food was great and customer service was on point! I'll be eating there again.!"
